New Delhi- The capital city of India is situated on the banks of Yamuna River in northern India. It is the second most densely inhabited metropolitan city in India, Mumbai holding the first place and the largest city in terms of area.

Delhi's climate is called as continental climate. The capital city experiences hot and humid climate for most of the year especially in summers. Dreadful summers are a terror to the people satying in the place. Monsoons are very unpredictable and the climate is very pleasant throughout the season. In comparison to summer, winters are for a short duration. The reason for Delhi being so chilly in winters is due to the cold waves from the Himalayan region and the Aravali ranges. Temperatures considerably fall down to as low as 3 to 4ยบ C when winters are at its peak.
